Looking Back

Medium rare. That's how I like my steak. And ironically, that's how I have been feeling, sufficiently chargrilled on the outside, whilst still rather raw in the inside. Emotions, like flavors, bursting to get out. It's all I can do to put up a tough facade, when I'm literally bleeding inside.

I deleted two years' worth of archived posts with the intention of starting on a painfully fresh chapter for 2008. No more soppy rantings on how the one true love didn't work out for me, or how my best friend betrayed my trust, or how hard my life is compared to so-and-so-and-so what.

Stepping out with my head up high, I aim to conquer the new year. According to my handy little Feng Shui book (X'mas gift courtesy of the one who shall not be named) Lilian Too has predicted
that I will have a good year. Scepticism aside, I endeavor to make the best of what life has to offer me; after all, I have this vision of Kobe beef - medium rare - with a side dish of gravy that will surely be the perfect accompaniment to the perfect dinner. And that is how life should be viewed as; a rare treat with a dash of adventure (optional).
